Q: Will I be able to boot from the new LS-120 diskette drive?
When the LS-120 drive is installed internally at the factory, it is possible, in most cases, to boot from the diskette. The new LS-120 diskette drive provides seamless bootable Windows 95™ and Windows NT™ support and allows the user to employ familiar software commands.
When an LS-120 drive is added onto an existing computer, it is likely that the BIOS will not recognize the LS-120 drive as a bootable device. In this case, the LS-120 can either function as a "d" drive, or as an "a" bootable device, provided that the drive is installed with a FloppyMAX LS-120 controller from Promise Technology More information on LS-120 is available on the LS-120 page of our site.
